In July, eight people from Illinois and Missourri went as a Christian Medical team to Guatemala. The team held clinics in three churches in rural areas where the residents receive very little medical attention. A Guatemalan medical doctor joined the team to examine patients and to prescribe medications. In addition to medications, we distributed clothing and toys. It is estimated that about 700 people were helped during the week of traveling. The mission experience was a blessing and the work was successful in many ways. The First Christian Church in Girard gave the team some financial support and remembered us in their prayers.
